Cranberry Orange Pop Tarts

A delightful twist on the classic pop tart featuring a tart cranberry filling and sweet orange marmalade.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup cranberry sauce
  • 1/4 cup orange marmalade
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • Powdered sugar for glaze (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, powdered sugar, and salt. Cut in the butter until it resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in vanilla.
  3. Form the dough into a ball, then chill for 30 minutes.
  4. Roll out the dough and cut into rectangles.
  5. Spread cranberry sauce and orange marmalade on half of the rectangles, leaving a border.
  6. Place another rectangle on top and seal edges with a fork.
  7. Brush with beaten egg.
  8. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden.
  9. Let cool, then drizzle with powdered sugar glaze if desired.

Notes

Best enjoyed fresh or at room temperature. They can be customized with different fillings.
