A delicious twist on the classic Key Lime Pie, these bars feature a creamy, zesty filling on a crunchy graham cracker crust.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 4 large egg yolks
  • 1 can (14 ounces) sweetened condensed milk
  • 3/4 cup fresh key lime juice
  • 1 tablespoon lime zest
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • Whipped cream, for serving
  • Lime slices, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mix graham cracker crumbs and melted butter until combined. Press into the bottom of a greased 9×13 inch pan to form a crust.
  3. Bake the crust for 10 minutes, then remove and let it cool slightly.
  4. Whisk together the sugar, egg yolks, and sweetened condensed milk until smooth.
  5. Stir in the key lime juice, lime zest, and salt until well combined.
  6. Pour the filling over the cooled crust and spread evenly.
  7. Bake for an additional 15-20 minutes, or until the filling is set.
  8. Remove from the oven and let it cool completely.
  9. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before cutting into bars.
  10. Serve with whipped cream and lime slices on top.

Ensure your key lime juice is fresh for the best flavor. For a sweeter filling, you can adjust the amount of sugar according to your taste.
