A delightful way to use sourdough starter, this pull-apart bread is soft, fluffy, and flavored with garlic and parsley, perfect for snacking or serving with meals.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups sourdough starter (discard)
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

Instructions

  1. Combine the sourdough starter, warm water, and sugar in a large bowl. Stir until mixed.
  2. Add the flour and salt, and mix until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until smooth.
  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise for 1-2 hours until doubled in size.
  5. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  6. Mix the melted butter, minced garlic, garlic powder, and parsley in a small bowl.
  7. Roll the dough into small balls and dip each ball into the garlic butter mixture.
  8. Place the buttered dough balls into a greased bundt pan.
  9. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
  10. Let cool for a few minutes before removing from the pan and serving warm.

Notes

To store leftovers, place in an airtight container at room temperature for up to two days or freeze for up to a month. Reheat in the oven before serving.
